Due to different factors taking place on the international stock markets and especially recent oil price fluctuation Armenian currency, dram is losing its price compared to other currencies.

As of the beginning of December dram’s correlation to dollar is 1(USD) = 450,17(AMD). This also depends on oil prices that are getting lower on the international market. Because of this entire process Russian ruble’s price is falling too which is closely connected to AMD.

This fact has both negative and positive impact on Armenian financial system. The problem with Ruble is that many Armenians work in Russia and get salaries in ruble.
