Recently the border village Movses in Tavush region had a more accessible supply of drinking water due to the International Commitee of The Red Cross. Before this project was done the villagers of Movses (there are about 1400 people living in Movses) had to get drinking water from the places which were too close to the Azerbaijan border and it wa not only dangerous, but also after taking the water the villagers had to take the water to their houses on foot. The distance from people’s houses to the water source was about one kilometer. The Red Cross has provided the villagers with drinking water and also 3000-litres tanks to keep water in them.
This is a great project done by the Red Cross as the villagers of Movses really needed this. This project in some ways made the lives of villagers easier as now they don’t have to endanger their lives just for having water to drink.
