The Armenian wine tasting event took place in Solvay Library in Brussels on December 8. The event was organized by Industrial Development Foundation in Armenia and Armenian Development Agency.
The aim of the event was raising awareness about Armenian Wine in EU member countries and and develop Armenian wine market in Europe. There were invited many famous representatives of various commercial networks, companies that deal with import and sales of wine, and also journalists covering the wine making industry.
There are being organized many events dedicated to Armenian wine in Armenia, but this one is organized in Europe, which has a large variety of good wine. Armenian wine is also popular in Europe, but in scope of such events it will be more popularized and as a result, the wine industry will develop in Armenia.

Armenian Wine has a very unique history and it is on the top list of wines all over the world. I do appreciate the fact that Armenians try to raise awareness among different countries and enable them to be introduced to our culture. Thanks for sharing this.

Tatevik, what is the source for this story? I don’t think you were in Brussels and personally attended this event! Please remember always to cite your source(s).

This kind of event is also famous in Armenia. Every week i found out about this event of wine testing. I think it’s a way of commercialising Armenian wines and as you sad Tatevik bring the awareness. But why are they doing it constantly? maybe the wine is not good enough or people want to try something new except Armenian wines?

Adrine, you are right I have not been there. I have read this news while checking week’s events and news in a news website or a blog and unfortunately I do not remember which one was that. Thank you for remark, I will definitely take that into account for later.
Ruzanna, I don’t think that it’s about the quality of wine. I think that it’s about raising awareness. Of course, i don’t say that all kinds of wines are good in Armenia, but those commercials are for the best ones because they are representing Armenia and why not, competing with some European wines.
